Brookline has a wonderful mix or neighborhoods, from urban to suburban. Coolidge Corner is often recognized as the epicenter of the town, with great Green Line trolley access. Like Boston proper, Brookline is broken into several sub areas which include the above mentioned Coolidge Corner, Washington Square, Longwood, Fisher Hill, and South Brookline to name a few.
This community offers a mix of condominiums in larger buildings, converted multi-families, city homes and sprawling suburban estates. The town is also home to many local celebrities including Tom Brady and many of his team mates.

Parks are plentiful in Brookline, from Larz Anderson to the Muddy River there are plenty of areas to take in nature and the outdoors. Brookline is also on the western side of the cities Emerald Necklace park system.
The only real problem with commuting in Brookline is the overnight parking ban on all streets. This can make parking challenging for residents. However, you may find no need for a car in Brookline. The Green Line trolley runs through several neighborhoods and its proximity to downtown Boston make this a favorite place to live. Did I mention how easy it is to bike in Brookline too!
You can’t go wrong if you decide to venture out for food or shopping. Local favorites include Elephant Walk, Golden Temple and Zaftigs have long been staples, but there are plenty of new comers over the last decade. Shopping is also a very local thing, with a mix of small businesses and major market retailers. There isn’t much you can’t find in Coolidge Corner.
There is also plenty to do in this area. Catch a Red Sox game, watch a limited release showing at Coolidge Corner Theatre, or take a casual stroll through the area as all are great ways to entertain yourself or guests. Situated right on the Fenway and Kenmore areas with great trolley access to everything in the city make a great case for weekend visitors.
